摘要

The concept of using an annular fuel element to generate superheated steam in a modified BWR design is very promising. Further studies on detailed neutronic modeling, stability analysis and fuel performance are recommended for the future work. The main issues to be further examined are maintaining suitable heat split throughout the fuel life, avoiding stresses due to the temperature differences between the inner and outer cladding, and ensuring appropriate response to transients.
