Role of Nuclear Nonproliferation in the Success of Civilian Nuclear Power Development

It has been over 50 years since the Atoms for Peace Initiative (AFPI) begun. More than 60 countries seriously explored the development of civilian nuclear power under AFPI. But today, more than two thirds of them do not have a single operating nuclear power reactor. This indicates the difficulty in nuclear power development and should alert any new comer states that the promise of Atoms for Peace is tricky and perhaps doubtful.
