We have developed a residual Monte Carlo method forrnspatially discrete, angularly continuous radiation-transportrnproblems. More specifically, we spatially discretize therntransport problem of interest, form the corresponding integralrnequation so that there is no need for an angular discretization,rnthen apply residual Monte Carlo to this integralrnequation. With an example test problem, we have demonstratedrnthat our new residual method exhibits exponentialrnconvergence with respect to the number of particles historiesrnand converges at a greater rate than standard MonternCarlo.
