MCNP Neutron Streaming Investigations from the Reactor Core to Regions Outside the Reactor Pressure Vessel for a Swiss PWR

Nagra, in the context of the Swiss decommissioning studies, has developed MCNP models of the Swiss Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) in order to calculate the residual radioactivity in reactor structures and components, at time of dismantlement. In this summary, the MCNP model of a PWR is briefly described and the in-situ sample irradiation campaign, aiming at the model validation, is discussed together with some qualitative conclusions following from the comparisons between the calculated and measured values.
