Standards Testing of Hand-held Radionuclide Identification Systems

摘要

Handheld identification systems or Radiological Isotope Identification Devices (RIDs) were examined as part of the ITRAP+10 program. Systems were tested to the ANSI and IEC standards, covering a broad range of detection and identification characteristics in a range of environments. Data collected under this program is important for understanding the current state of commercial systems. The test campaigns also provide a re-examination of the standards as they are being updated.
