Standard for Field Programmable Gate Arrays in the Nuclear Power Industry

With the ever increasing use of FPGA's in the nuclear industry, there is a need for additional guidance that will provide a common international technical basis to support development of FPGA-based platforms and applications in nuclear I&C systems. IAEA is beginning the development of guidance that comprehensively covers all relevant aspects of FPGA technology in the nuclear power industry. The information that the IAEA will provide should be useful to support both new plant designs and modernization of existing operating nuclear power plants.
