摘要

Calculations with the codes RELAP5-3D and TRACE for a new experimental facility have been completed and the results from both code calculations have been compared. TRACE calculation yielded significantly lower pressures and temperatures than the RELAP5-3D calculation. A prototype of this facility has been built and testing will be initiated in the near future. The experimental data to be obtained from this facility will be used to evaluate the results of these calculations, in particular condensation results.
