摘要

This validation effort produced good results when comparing total gamma dose versus distance (Ranger Fox). Simulation of the fission product decay gamma dose rate measured as a function of time and distance during the Buster-Jangle Sugar aboveground test was not as successful. More details and assumptions are required to model these dose rates. Further effort is needed to improve the cloud soil loading model to improve these results. Future work must include the effect or prompt fission neutrons and gamma rays and more scenarios that resemble a radiological weapon.
