A DPRA framework has been presented and leveraged to analyze the combined risk effect of accident tolerant fuel, multi-layered SiC and FeCrAl, and FLEX strategy for MBLOCA accident scenarios. The risk effect analysis is performed to analyze the risk significance of the FLEX injection over the break size spectrum from 2-inches to 6-inches. At first, it is concluded that the implementing FLEX strategy for 3-inches break size and above reduces the risk from running failures of ECCS pumps. Second, if the FLEX is made available within 120 minutes of the break initiation, it is more likely to prevent the core damage during the MBLOCA accident scenarios.
