The SSA algorithm was demonstrated to be a versatile, memory and performance efficient alternative to single-event Monte Carlo method for neutron multiplicity simulations in point kinetic geometry. The method was used to benchmark count probability distributions reconstructed from up to fourth order multiplicity moments obtained from the backward Mas-ter equation and a generalized Laguerre polynomial expansion with gamma distribution at lowest order. For not too small time gates, the tail of the count pdf is reproducible with just the gamma distribution while four or more moments are needed to capture the pdf mode.
