摘要

Over the last decade, the nuclear industry and the agencies that regulate the safe operation of nuclear power plants (NPPs) have placed increasing importance on evaluating the health and condition of nuclear-grade cables. With the ongoing license renewal and plant life extension activities, cables that provide instrumentation and control (l&C) and power for critical plant safety functions are required to perform properly during and after a design basis event (DBE) up to at least 40 years and, in some cases, up to 60 or more years.
