摘要

An initial thermodynamic database of Gibbs functions for molten salt fuel and coolant compositions, MSTDB, has been developed and is publicly available through ORNL. The validated, consistent database allows computing of salt properties including melting points, composition and temperature of precipitate formation, heat capacity, and redox potentials. As such, it will be a key tool in developing molten salt reactor concepts, and in modeling and simulation of reactor behavior. The database will evolve as efforts to introduce additional constituents continue, allowing better representation of complex salts and extension to issues such as corrosion and in situ FP removal.
