Recent SCALE Activities Within the Nuclear Criticality Safety Program

Significant improvements to SCALE have been made during NCSP activities in FY 2018. For users of the current production series of SCALE 6.2, the most significant accomplishments were the creation of the publicly available criticality validation report [3] and the 6.2.3 update [5]. In terms of future capability, the most significant accomplishments slated for the next version 6.3.0 was a new 3D visualization capability; work towards production-quality Shift integration with CSAS, TRITON, and MAVRIC; and initial ENDF/B-VIH nuclear data libraries.
