摘要

The results from the EPRI iPWR aerosol study are applicable to the AP1000 advanced reactor, due to the similarities in post-accident thermal-hydraulic conditions and geometry. The assessment infers that the current codes are conservative while modeling aerosol deposition, and modeling of phenomena such as turbulence, convective flow and deposition associated with them would increase accuracy of results and reduce conservatism, thereby potentially improving Level II PRAs for advanced reactors.
