Preliminary In-Vessel Shielding Analyses for the Versatile Test Reactor

Shielding design is an important part of the Versatile Test Reactor (VTR) design. Various shielding implementations are required to protect workers and reactor components from damaging radiation sources. The major radiation source in VTR during operation is the prompt neutron and photon emitted from nuclear fuel fissions as well as the activated structure and coolant.
