How implementing UTMC can assist with traffic management

摘要

As the full implications of the Traffic Management Act become clearer and the final details of Local Transport Plans for LTP2 are finalised ready for submission, thoughts are already turning to the management tools required by traffic managers and the underpinning technology-based solutions needed to deliver the plans being put into place. This paper explains the benefits which are being realised by three local authorities who are basing their initial solutions on recognised standards such as UTMC and illustrates how the delivery of real and effective solutions can underpin their political objectives and operational needs.
