The end of privacy?

Recent events have brought into focus the complex relationship between transport and security, at all levels from the personal to the global. On the one hand, travellers need to be protected against individual attack or theft, and both transport operators and enforcement authorities have a duty to assist. On the other hand, transport will be critically involved in a high proportion of major incidents, both as a logistics mechanism for area clearance and as a part of the public domain that needs monitoring and management.
