New freight efficiency forum is launched

A new European project, FREILOT, has been launched to improve the energy efficiency of urban freight transport. Using an integrated approach and combining various measures which can be implemented at a reasonable cost, FREILOT will pilot a number of services including:1. energy efficient intersection control by providing priority to trucks at junctions.rn2. adaptive speed and acceleration controls.rn3. eco-driving support.rn4. real-time loading/delivery space booking.
