Albury to Seymour resleepering completed

Work on upgrading the main line between Sydney and Melbourne has been completed with the wooden sleepers replaced by 225,000 new concrete sleepers.rnThe $45 million upgrade of the line between Albury and Seymour in Victoria was funded from the Rudd Labor Government's Economic Stimulus Plan. Federal Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Minister, Anthony Albanese, congratulated the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) for moving so quickly to put the Government's economic stimulus funding to work creating jobs and upgrading the nation's rail infrastructure.
