promoting healthy communities - practitioner reflections

Directly engaging with practitioners through a workshop format has been a hallmark of the Reuniting Health with Planning initiative - which, over the last few years, has operated in this way in more than 50 areas across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This approach has enabled the TCPA to illuminate, distil and synthesise local issues to produce a wider, national picture. The 2018 workshops again demonstrated that more can be done to ensure that the benefits of cross-disciplinary collaboration are harnessed to help improve the health and wellbeing of local populations. The TCPA looks forward to ongoing partnership working with councils.
