On thin continua

We introduce the notion of thin continua: a continuum is thin if every nondegenerate subcontinuum has nonempty interior. We prove that such continua are locally connected and we investigate their mapping properties. We also investigate universal thin dendrites of a given order. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V.
