On 11 June I was at Koeln Hbf waiting for an ICE to take me to Frankfurt Flughafen, with lots of time to spare before my flight departure. I was reading Brian Sykes's letter in the June issue, including reference to an ICE cancellation, as a result of which I recorded the following events.
