If you want to see all of General Cigar's facility in the free trade zone in Santiago, Dominican Republic, you should wear comfortable shoes and clear your schedule for the entire day. To say that General Cigar's D.R. cigar factory and tobacco storage facility is huge is, well, a huge understatement. The 600,000-square-foot facility is home to nearly a dozen factory buildings, tobacco warehouses and a box factory wjiere the company makes Macanudo, Partagas, Cohiba, Ramon Allones, Canaria D'Oro, Cifuentes, La Gloria Cubana, Don Sebastian and Bolivar cigars. Visiting the facility in the free zone is just scratching the surface of General Cigar's entire production capacity.
