摘要

The process for obtaining polyether polyols takes place discontinuously, in batches. Therefore, when the lots are prepared it is necessary to have a good homogenization of the batches. Starting from these considerations a study of the analysis of variance can give information regarding the number of samples necessary to obtain a good characterization of the product from the point of view of the content of hazardous metals such us Ni, Pb, Cd and can also give quantitative information regarding the part of the total variance which can be attributed to the method of sampling and the part corresponding to the method of analysis. Similarly, on basis of the analysis of variance at the limits (low and high) of linear range it is possible to decide whether the linear function is suitable for the calibration of an atomic absorption spectrometer.
