Modern types of combined-cycle installations whose projects were developed the Instite Tep- loelekroproek(TEP)are considered. The indices of the feasibility for combined-cycle installations of different types are compared with those for steam-power installations. It is noted that, today, a trent of using small com- bined cycle installations has appeared whose main characteristics are presented. The main principles for employing computer-aided design of thermal power stations in the Institute and its component, the system PDMS, are described.
