Calculation of the Void Fractions in Vertical Evaporating and Steam-Removal Tubes of Steam Boilers

摘要

Using the nomographs of the standard method for hydrualic calculations of boilers to determine the actual void fraction of the steam in tubes as a function of the calculated void fraction and the velocity of the steam-water mixture, as well as for estimating the actual void fraction under conditions of stagnancy o circulation, is shown to be justified. The range of the nomograph i expanded to the low pressure region down to atmospheric pressure.
