Scale Formation in Waterwall Tubes of Boilers

It is shown that the amount of scale formed in waterwall tubes of boilers, as a function of the heat flux density, should be described by a second-power polynomial. At values of the heat flux density typical for modern boilers, this function can be replaced by a linear one. Comparison with experimental data was made.
