The hydrodynamic conditions in a centrifugal thickener that consists of a cylindrical tube divided by longitudinal baffles into a certain number of sectors were studied. The separation of a two-phase mixture was described using the equations of the mechanics of heterogeneous media in the cylindrical coordinate system with consideration for flow pattern peculiarities. The problem was solved semi-analyt-ically. The constructed mathematical model of the separation process was used to perform some numerical calculations.
