Spatz came up with the idea of relocating part of its industrial operations in the 80's during a difficult period for French textiles : partially lost markets, low profitability, redundancies...The company therefore decided to relocate part of its business "as a matter of life or death", and to produce at lower costs in a growth market, Vietnam.
