Raycon successfully checks metallised packs for Indonesian firm

SESOTEC'S Raycon x-ray inspection system is providing quality assurance at a Jakarta-based company by checking for contamination in metallised packs of cassava chips. Metallised packaging can be a challenge for inspection technologies, so the customer first provided the chips in 200g bags for testing.The Raycon system met all the requirements without any problems, successfully demonstrating its ability to screen for foreign materials such as metals, glass, ceramics and stones. Raycon easily detects the smallest physical contaminants, in any type of packaging, and meets all common food industry guidelines, says Sesotec.This level of compliance was important for the customer, which now enjoys GMP and HACCP certification and ISO 22000: 2005 accreditation, as well as Halal certification.
