Wendy brings first steam haulage to the Hayling Seaside Railway

The Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust's Amberley-based Bagnall 0-4-OST Wendy has hauled the first steam-worked passenger trains on the 2ft gauge Hayling Seaside Railway. Achieving this ambition required modifying the line! Prior to the loco's arrival, it was realised Wendy was wider than the line's resident motive power, so the track was slewed away from the platforms and the cuttings and banks at a couple of locations widened.
