GWR flagship engine, 'King' Class No. 6024 King Edward I, has returned to the main line, having been out of action since last year while repairs were carried out at the West Somerset Railway.rnThe 'King' began running-in trials on the WSR in mid-July and clocked up more than 500 miles of both light engine andrnloaded trials by the start of August.rnAugust 10 marked its return to the main line, making a loaded test run with five carriages between Bristol and Shrewsbury for main line proving of the work carried out at Williton over the last eight months.
