Unveiling of streamlined 'Duchess' expected in May

A date for moving the NRM's LMS 'Princess Coronation' No. 6229 Duchess of Hamilton to York following completion of the its streamlined casing and painting at Tyseley awaited confirmation as The RM closed for press. All concerned are confident that the 'Duchess' will arrive at York in time for the May 19 launch of the NRM's new 'Streamlined: Styling an Era' exhibition. Although the static exhibit will move from Tyseley to York by rail, it was not certain as we closed for press what the motive power would haul it.
