A West Coast theme for the major railway works open day in 2010

Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 8274, a loco that was sent to Turkey during World War Two, will be one of several steam locos on display at the Wolverton Works weekend on August 14/15 - a charity fundraising event with the proceeds from the weekend being shared between four charities - Willen Hospice, The Living Archive, the Milton Keynes Museum and The Mental Health Foundation.
