The authors follow their earlier Euston-Bletchley volume by tracing the West Coast Main Line through Milton Keynes, Wolverton and Roade as far as Rugby. The Northampton loop is also included.rnWolverton works are covered and there are 145 illustrations, plus 15 in colour and 33 maps and diagrams. The book contains interesting detail of Wolverton and has short chapters on the various village stations along the route, but is frustratingly short on illustrations at the Rugby end (there are, for example, no photos of the 24-road engine shed or of the locomotive testing station.)
