A 'MAGNIFICENT SEVEN' line-up to mark the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the 'Deltic' fleet has been celebrated by the National Railway Museum, which worked with the Deltic Preservation Society to create a line-up of the six preserved production versions plus the prototype. It was the first time the prototype (which was withdrawn 51 years ago) had lined up with all six preserved Class 55s (Nos. 55002, D9009, D9015, D9016,55019 and 55022). The gathering was held at Locomotion Shildon over the weekend of October 8-9. Picture: PAUL BICKERDYKE
