'Hastings'unit 50 not out

The Hastings Diesels Limited's "Thumper" No. 1001 ran its 50th public railtour on September 10 and has just celebrated 25 years in the ownership of HDL. The 50th outing was from Hastings to Butterley, bringing a rare direct service from the national network to the Midland Railway Centre. The train ran via Clapham Junction and the Midland Main Line through Leicester and Loughborough. The set is due out again in early December for a shopping trip to London.
