'Kerosene Castle'is delivered to Didcot

GAS-turbine loco No. 18000 arrived safely inside the Didcot Railway Centre on July 29 following a lengthy and difficult journey from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Toddington, where it had been located since last year's RM-sponsored GWR175 event. The unique loco is owned by the Pete Waterman Trust and the DRC is to be its custodian, with formal handover taking place on September 10.
