Belgian Class 18 locos finally enter service

BELGIAN Railways (SNCB) has finally deployed a number of the 120 Class 18 electric locomotives it purchased from Siemens - 60 ordered in 2006 and the rest ordered in 2008. After extensive delays in gaining approval, which has resulted in Siemens paying SNCB compensation, the locos finally entered service in early July.
