CLASS 14 No. D9529, owned by the Iron & Steel Traction Group, is currently at the Nene Valley Railway between hiring jobs. It is seen in Washford yard on July 3 following bodywork overhaul and a repaint in BR blue livery with its fictitious TOPS-style 14029 number, as carried since 1985 when first painted in BR blue on the Great Central Railway. This was the first member of the class to enter industrial service from BR in 1968 and, with No. D9520, the first to be preserved in 1981.
