Tsunami delays DMU exports to the Philippines

Japan recently agreed to send 50 second-hand diesel railcar vehicles to Philippines National Railways (PNR) to enable further expansion of main line services. Not surprisingly, Japan is now in disarray following the earthquakes and tsunami, and is as yet unable to export the vehicles. Nonetheless, suburban services out of the Philippino capital, Manila, are progressing well.
