9F named Cockd the North

9F 2-10-0 No. 92214 was named Cocko' the North in a ceremony on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on April 22. The loco is owned by PV Premier Ltd, a Grosmont-based company whose managing director is NYMR volunteer Stuart Whitter. The naming is not expected to go down well with the two Mikado new-build projects (RM November 2010), both of which are aiming to re-create the original No. 2001 Cock a'the North, which was a 2-8-2. Apart from that, 9Fs did not receive names when built by BR, other than No. 92220 Evening Star.
