Steam Railmotor makes debut

THE Great Western Society's GWR steam railmotor made its much-awaited debut at a special event on the Llangollen Railway for project supporters on March 21. Very few people alive today can remember seeing a Great Western steam railmotor, let alone photographing one, so there was genuine surprise when the crimson lake-liveried vehicle made its grand appearance and then set off for Carrog, where a reception was held for the backers of this unique project.
