THE latest edition of this annual review is as indispensible as ever, packed with cracking colour photographs and informative captions concerning the main line events of 2010 (i.e. the year previous to that in the book's title). In the absence of the sadly-missed 'Jane's Railway Yearbooks', this thick and weighty softback is the next best thing, even though it doesn't include multiple units or heritage lines (apart from two shots of the Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Railway).
