The Chasewater Railway's industrial gala (September 8-9) saw a good selection of locos in operation - both steam and diesel. No. D2911 (North British 27876 of 1959), was pressed into service, unexpectedly, due to the failure of one of the steam locos. This was its first use in three years, but only needed new batteries to get it going. Also in operation was Class 08 No. D3429 (08359), seen here working a demonstration goods.
