With the ongoing redevelopment of Birmingham New Street station and adjoining Pallasades shopping centre. Network Rail has released a computer-generated image of how the atrium above the station concourse will look. The£600million development dominated by a new John Lewis department store, will also get a change of name from Pallasades to Grand Central, which hopefully won't cause confusion with the open access train operator of that name.
