Lms Pacific No. 6201 Princess Elizabeth launched the Thames Royal Pageant on June 3 by steaming across Battersea Bridge as a boat carrying the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh set off to join the flotilla. Four lucky people were on the footplate of the light engine - West Coast Railways operations manager Andy Taylor, acting as inspector; driver Bill Warriner; fireman Steve Underhill; and 6201 Society chairman Clive Mojonnier, who admitted to The RM that he had forgotten his camera for the occasion!
