DFR reopens Whitecroft station

ON May 25, the Dean Forest Railway formally reopened Whitecroft station, beside the level crossing over the B4234 road, which parallels the line from Lydney to Parkend, writes Peter Nicholson. The original wooden structure at Whitecroft opened when the Severn & Wye Railway started services in 1875, but was closed to passengers in July 1929.
