Chicken Curve collapse - repairs start

Work started on a £670,000 project to repair the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's Chicken Curve embankment on February 6. The embankment-just north of Winchcombe station -collapsed in January 2011, severing the railway. Finance is coming from the line's £1 million emergency appeal. As work started, the G-WR launched a 'last push'effort to raise £170,000 to complete the repairs.
