LBR loco named after driver Bob

The Leighton Buzzard Railway's Simplex 4wDM No. 43 (MR10409/1954) was officially named Trotter during The line's Motorcycle and Internal Combustion gala on September 29. "Trotter" was The nickname of Bob Turney, for many years The regular driver of The loco during The line's industrial days, which transported sand from quarries to The standard gauge sidings at Billington Road until 1969. Bob first started working for The original LBLR in 1948, and died in November, aged 79. The naming was performed by his widow Sylvia, assisted by one of The LBR's youngest drivers, Richard Cliff.
